Abductors of the Dodo of Wawa District, in Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State, are demanding one hundred million Naira ransom.
The abductors were said to have made the demand, hours after taking away the Dodo of Wawa, Dr Mahmud Ahmad on Saturday night.
The abductors did not give any deadline for the payment of the ransom.
Wawa District is about twelve kilometres away from an Army Barracks in New Bussa, the Headquarters of Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State.
The Secretary to Niger State Government, Ahmad Matane, has also confirmed the abduction of the Dodo of Wawa.
Ahmad Matane explained that already, the state government has mobilized combined security agencies and members of vigilante groups, who have been drafted to rescue the Dodo of Wawa.
