




Nigeria becoming more insecured ahead of the 2023 general elections.
Today, September 11, the Nigeria Police in Anambra State has confirmed the coordinated gun attack on the convoy of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah at Enuguukwu in Njikoka LGA , this Sunday evening at about 5pm.
The state Police Public Relations Officer DSP Ikenga Tochukwu told Newsmen in a telephone conversation that the details of the incident is still sketchy but operatives of the Force are on ground to ensure normalcy returns to the area.
Avaliable evidence by AIT indicates that though the Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District, managed to escape as his bullet proof car was riddled with bullets but members of his convoy were not fortunate.
There were dead bodies of unspecified number of Police personnel and civilians seen inside and behind the hilux van conveying the security excorts in a video obtained after the ambush.
Meanwhle ,Kanem Chuks Ogbonna, the Special Adviser on Media and Strategic Communications to Senator Ifeanyi Ubah said three Policemen and three aides of the Federal lawmaker were killed by the gunmen.
Several others with gunshot injuries have been rushed to medical facilities in the area.
